Mailjet is a cloud-based email delivery and tracking system founded in 2010, it allows users to send marketing and transactional emails.<\/span> In this <\/span>informative post, we\u2019ll go <\/span>over how to configure and setup DKIM and SPF for Mailjet.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Important Note:<\/strong> Mailjet provides the SPF record v=spf1 include:spf.mailjet.com ?all<\/strong>, but you should not publish it in your DNS. Instead, only publish the DKIM record. Even if you add the SPF record, Mailjet emails will still fail SPF checks. The correct SPF setup requires a unique CNAME record, which you can find in the end of this article (Setup SPF<\/strong>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Configure DKIM<\/a><\/span><\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Step 1: Head to <\/span>Account settings<\/b> from the Mailjet account panel<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 2: Navigate to <\/span>Setup SPF\/DKIM Authentication<\/b>
\"The<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 3: Click on <\/span>Manage <\/b>on the right side of your domain<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Now, Mailjet will provide you with two DNS records unique to your domain.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 4: Ignore the SPF record for the reasons mentioned above and copy the DKIM record.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 5: Go to your <\/span>DNS zone<\/b> (In our case it\u2019s in Cloudflare)<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Note: Turn off any proxy settings if you\u2019re using Cloudflare.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once verified, you\u2019ll be able to see Mailjet displaying <\/span>Your DomainKey record looks good!<\/b><\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can start sending emails and you\u2019ll see them under the <\/span>DMARC compliant<\/b><\/a> tab with DKIM passing and aligning with your domain.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Setup SPF<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

As for the SPF configuration, you\u2019ll need to:<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 1: Head to your domain DNS zone.<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 2: Create a subdomain for your main domain using the prefix \u201cbnc3\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 3: Add a CNAME record bnc3.yourdomain.com<\/strong> as the Name\/Host and bnc3.mailjet.com<\/strong> as the Target\/Value.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 5: Get in touch with the\u00a0Mailjet support team<\/a>\u00a0and ask them to activate your personalized return path.<\/span>
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Important note: <\/strong>If the provider recommends publishing also a DMARC record, there\u2019s no need to do so if you already have a DMARC record in place, as each domain can only have one DMARC record.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
