The vulnerability allowed anyone online to access the platform\u2019s data files. 381,626 email addresses and phone numbers of users who played games on the GoodGamer app between 2020 and 2021 were found.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Information about money won and deposited by users was also discovered.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">GoodGamer repaired the breach about an hour after being informed by VPNOverview&#8217;s security team, although they didn&#8217;t comment on the situation.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cshub.com\/attacks\/news\/almost-one-million-people-affected-by-medical-billing-ransomware-attack\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><b>The Medical Billing Ransomware Attack Affected Almost One Million People\u00a0<\/b><\/a><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Practice Resources suffered a massive ransomware attack that exposed the data of about one million patients from 27 healthcare organizations.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Practice Resources, LLC is a medical billing and practice management company located in New York. It provides billing, administrative, and human resources support services to healthcare organizations.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office for Civil Rights detailed that PRL had suffered a hacking incident. After the breach was confirmed, it was revealed that 942,138 individuals had been affected.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">California\u2019s Attorney General&#8217;s office posted a <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/oag.ca.gov\/ecrime\/databreach\/reports\/sb24-555964\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">notice<\/span><\/a> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">that the breach resulted from a ransomware attack on April 12. In the notice, Practice Resources LLC explains that the cyberattackers gained unauthorized access to sensitive data such as:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Health plan numbers<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Home addresses<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Dates of treatment<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Medical record numbers<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Names<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">PRL took steps to secure its systems and started an investigation to discover the ransomware attack&#8217;s nature.
