The DKIM record, on the other hand, is a specially formatted DNS TXT record that stores the public key the receiving mail server will use to verify a message&#8217;s signature. These email authentication methods will be used to prove to ISPs and mail services that senders are truly authorized to send email from a particular domain and, are a way of verifying your email sending server is sending emails through your domain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" id=\"spf-yes\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-the-process-of-setting-up-the-spf-record\"><strong>The process of setting up the SPF Record<\/strong><\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>To ensure the emails from Blackbaud are sent on behalf of your domain, we need to create or update your existing SPF record by including the following information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Important Note: The included mechanism that you need to incorporate in your SPF record in order to specify Blackbaud as an authentic sending source is dependent on the product you use.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Please find yours from the list given below:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Altru, BBNC, BBIS, eTapestry Basic Mass Email, Education Management, OLX, and Raiser&#8217;s Edge NXT: <strong>include:outboundmail.blackbaud.net<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Luminate Online: <strong>include:outboundmail.convio.net<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Blackbaud Award Management and Blackbaud Stewardship Management: <strong>include:_spf.academicworks.com<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tapestry Advanced Mass Email: <strong>include:ne16.com<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>You can authenticate it easily by using our <a href=\"https:\/\/easydmarc.com\/tools\/spf-record-generator\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">SPF Generator Tool<\/a> and following the steps below:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Navigate to <a href=\"https:\/\/easydmarc.com\/tools\/spf-record-generator\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">SPF Record Generator<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Add the required include in the include:__ section.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Choose the Policy (The options are : Fail (Not Compliant will be rejected), SoftFail (Not Compliant will be accepted but marked) and Neutral (Mails will be probably accepted)).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>When you have made followed the steps, click on the \u201cGenerate\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Copy the provided Blackbaud SPF record and navigate to your DNS provider (CloudFlare, Godaddy, etc.) and create a TXT Record. <strong>We\u2019ll be using CloudFlare<\/strong> <strong>for this example.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image alignfull size-full\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"892\" height=\"450\" src=\"https:\/\/easydmarc.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/Copy-of-1-1.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-35666\" srcset=\"https:\/\/easydmarc.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/Copy-of-1-1.png 892w, https:\/\/easydmarc.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/Copy-of-1-1-300x151.png 300w, https:\/\/easydmarc.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/Copy-of-1-1-768x387.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 892px) 100vw, 892px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Note: please note that the above include is an example, please make sure you have included the correct include based on your platform.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>6. Click on \u201cSave\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>7. Wait up to 72 hours to allow your DNS to process the changes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Important Note: Each domain must have only one SPF TXT Record. If you have multiple SPF Records, <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/easydmarc.com\/blog\/spf-too-many-dns-lookups-error\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>SPF will return a PermError<\/strong><\/a><strong>.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are using multiple IPs, ESPs, Third-Party services for your various email strategies, you should include them in a single SPF Record.<br \/>E.g <em>v=spf1 ip4:18.57.156.221 include:outboundmail.blackbaud.net include:thirdpartyservice.com ~all<\/em>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" id=\"dkim-yes\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Blackbaud DKIM Configuration<\/strong><\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Important Note: Depending on the application you use, you need to make sure if the generic DKIM is supported for your platform. You can also request a custom DKIM signature for your domain. If your organization requires DKIM, use Advanced Mass Email.
