A CNAME record, or Canonical name record, allows you to create a more memorable or user-friendly domain name that points to your Fully Qualified Domain Name (FQDN).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"518\" src=\"https:\/\/easydmarc.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/2-3-1024x518.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-36320\" srcset=\"https:\/\/easydmarc.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/2-3-1024x518.png 1024w, https:\/\/easydmarc.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/2-3-300x152.png 300w, https:\/\/easydmarc.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/2-3-768x389.png 768w, https:\/\/easydmarc.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/2-3-1536x777.png 1536w, https:\/\/easydmarc.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/2-3-1200x607.png 1200w, https:\/\/easydmarc.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/2-3.png 1842w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>First CNAME record (SPF): <\/strong>The first record is for SPF. By adding it to your DNS host, your domain will be mapped to SMTP2Go\u2019s domain (return.smtp2go.net), which has the IP addresses whitelisted in it. You do not need to manually modify your existing SPF record as you already have authentication and alignment for SPF.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Second CNAME record (DKIM): <\/strong>The second record is for DKIM.
