{"id":38896,"date":"2023-11-17T10:55:04","date_gmt":"2023-11-17T10:55:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/easydmarc.com\/blog\/?p=38896"},"modified":"2025-05-30T09:13:02","modified_gmt":"2025-05-30T09:13:02","slug":"groove-spf-and-dkim","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/easydmarc.com\/blog\/groove-spf-and-dkim\/","title":{"rendered":"Groove SPF and DKIM configuration: Step By Step"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>This instructional article will demonstrate the Groove configuration process of Sender Policy Framework (SPF), DomainKeys Identified Mail (DKIM) Signatures to ensure Groove passes the DMARC alignment check and eliminate spam from your domain and increase security.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The SPF record identifies the mail servers and domains that are allowed to send email on behalf of your domain. The DKIM record, on the other hand, is a specially formatted DNS TXT record that stores the public key the receiving mail server will use to verify a message&#8217;s signature. These email authentication methods will be used to prove to ISPs and mail services that senders are truly authorized to send email from a particular domain and are a way of verifying your email sending server is sending emails through your domain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-the-process-of-configuring-groove-s-smtp\"><strong>The process of configuring Groove\u2019s SMTP<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In order to authenticate Groove on SPF, please follow these steps:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Go to <strong>Settings \u2192 Channels \u2192 SMTP Tab<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"204\" src=\"https:\/\/easydmarc.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/SMTP1-1024x204.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-38955\" srcset=\"https:\/\/easydmarc.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/SMTP1-1024x204.png 1024w, https:\/\/easydmarc.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/SMTP1-300x60.png 300w, https:\/\/easydmarc.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/SMTP1-768x153.png 768w, https:\/\/easydmarc.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/SMTP1-1536x306.png 1536w, https:\/\/easydmarc.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/SMTP1-2048x408.png 2048w, https:\/\/easydmarc.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/SMTP1-1200x239.png 1200w, https:\/\/easydmarc.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/SMTP1-1980x394.png 1980w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>  2. Select <strong>Groove\u2019s SMTP servers (recommended)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>  3.Go to the SMTP configuration tab, you will see the 3 CNAME records that you will need to add to your of Groove&#8217;s SMTP servers.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Congratulations, you now successfully authenticated your outgoing mail stream from Groove with SPF and DKIM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"vg_note\"><strong>Important note:<\/strong> If the provider recommends publishing also a DMARC record, there\u2019s no need to do so if you already have a DMARC record in place, as each domain
