Industry: Emergency Management

Juvare is a global leader in software for emergency preparedness and critical incident management. Their solutions enable government agencies, healthcare providers, corporations, educational institutions, and nonprofit organizations to respond swiftly and effectively to crises.

The Challenge: Strengthening Email Security Across a Complex Domain Environment

As major email providers began enforcing stricter authentication standards, Juvare, a global leader in critical incident management and emergency preparedness software, recognized the need to secure its email communications. Bryan Kaplan, Juvare’s Chief Information and Security Officer, acknowledges that the company needed more than just a DMARC solution; they required more profound insights into their email security posture.

“As the email threat landscape evolved and authentication standards became more stringent, we saw an opportunity to strengthen our visibility into domain reputation and email infrastructure health,” said Bryan. “It became clear that we needed to have an answer that allowed us to do not only the monitoring of it, but also some remediation and tracking for any issues.”

With hundreds of domains, including forwarding, parked, and backend routing domains, Juvare needed a partner who could provide both comprehensive visibility and operational simplicity.

“We wanted to be more proactive and prepared for what our clients might ask of us,” Bryan added.

The Solution: Expert-Guided Implementation and Proactive Monitoring

After evaluating several email authentication providers, Juvare selected EasyDMARC.

“We were really looking for something that had a service component to it,” Bryan explained. “I don’t need to be a DMARC expert, and this allowed us to have a solution that was useful and supported while leaving the tactical heavy lifting to the provider.”

EasyDMARC’s onboarding process included a full review of Juvare’s domain landscape. The team helped segment domains into those actively sending email versus those used solely for routing or protection, and then applied DMARC policies accordingly. For key domains, Juvare followed a guided path from monitoring (p=none) to full protection (p=reject).

“The biggest piece of functionality was just understanding what our options were,” Bryan said. “Once we had that information, it became relatively easy to follow a prescribed path.”

The EasyDMARC platform provided live, up-to-date insights into email traffic, misconfigurations, and emerging threats.

“The biggest thing is being able to have a live, up-to-date, and functional view of our email traffic, as well as getting information relatively quickly from the EasyDMARC support team,” Bryan noted.

Juvare also implemented BIMI with EasyDMARC’s support.

“It was a managed process, and from our standpoint, it was easy to follow,” he said. “Having somebody basically say, ‘Just follow these steps,’ was also very good.”

The Results: A More Resilient Email Ecosystem and Increased Confidence

With EasyDMARC’s ongoing support, Juvare has built a strong email authentication framework across its domain portfolio. Their domains now consistently achieve top scores in deliverability and authentication health scans.

“We have the ability to discuss the strength of our DMARC position with our clients, and also give them confidence that there won’t be any DMARC issues,” Bryan shared.

Juvare continues to monitor its sending domains to stay ahead of evolving email threats.

“As cyber threats evolve, we need to be able to have better visibility,” Bryan emphasized. “If unauthorized traffic is being sent on our behalf, it becomes tough to identify and respond without continuous monitoring.”

Concluding Quote:

“Honestly, the biggest benefit is being able to have a functional, real-time view of our email environment, and a team that’s ready to help when we need it. That partnership makes all the difference.”
