Vtiger SPF & DKIM Setup: Step By Step Guideline

2 Min Read
Vtiger

Vtiger is a cloud-based CRM that enables businesses to deliver outstanding customer experiences by breaking barriers between their marketing, sales, and support teams. However, prior to sending any emails from Vtiger, it’s crucial to authenticate your domain by setting up SPF and DKIM records.

Your initial action is to obtain the SPF and DKIM records provided by Vtiger.

Here’s how:

1 –  Click on your profile name from the top right side of your dashboard.

2 –  From there click on “Settings”.

3 –  Access “Email Settings”

4  – Click on “View” under DNS records.

Once you click on “View” a popup window will appear, providing you with the SPF and DKIM records you need to publish in your DNS.

I will be using Cloudflare to add the following records.

  1. SPF

Important Note: Each domain must have only one SPF TXT Record. If you have multiple SPF Records, SPF will return a PermError.

If you are using multiple IPs, ESPs, Third-Party services for your various email strategies, you should include them in a single SPF Record.

E.g v=spf1 ip4:18.57.156.221 include:vtigermails.com include:thirdpartyservice.com ~all

  1. DKIM
  1. CNAME

Note: If your DNS zone has the Proxy option, make sure to toggle it off.

Once you finish adding the records, make sure to verify them.

After verifying the records, you need to deselect the Email Footer option so that your DKIM key will be authenticated and aligned. Otherwise, Vtiger will sign your emails with his own DKIM key.

Once you complete all these steps, you can try sending a test email using our Email Investigation tool to ensure your configuration.

Congratulations you have successfully configured SPF and DKIM.
