Brighton is an iconic, timeless fashion brand that serves a broad multi-lifestyle customer, delivering fashion, craftsmanship, quality, and exceptional service at a value.

The Challenge: Deliverability Issues During Platform Migration

As a large-scale distributor of consumer goods, Brighton relies heavily on email for marketing campaigns and customer communication. When the company began transitioning to the Klaviyo email automation platform and encountered deliverability issues, their Marketing Department was naturally concerned.

A ‘Fair’ deliverability rating from Klaviyo, along with inconsistencies in Google Postmaster Tools, pointed to underlying problems in their email authentication setup that could negatively impact the success of their email marketing efforts.

Daniel Drasdo, Brighton’s Email Marketing Manager, came from a technical background and initially believed he could resolve the email authentication issues on his own by setting up an email address to receive aggregate reports.  However, without DMARC-specific expertise, these detailed reports were difficult to make sense of.

“I realized very quickly, with all the reports being sent to that inbox, that we were in over our heads,” says Daniel.

After consulting with four different DMARC providers, Daniel chose EasyDMARC as Brighton’s email authentication partner. EasyDMARC stood out for its competitive pricing and unique combination of powerful tools and hands-on expert support.

Daniel explains, “We found that EasyDMARC was a balance between having a really good toolset and also having someone to actually talk to through this journey.”

The Solution: Full Visibility, Clean DNS Records, and a Path to p=reject

During Brighton’s onboarding process, EasyDMARC’s engineers quickly uncovered misconfigured yet legitimate sender profiles and outdated DNS records. With the visibility EasyDMARC provided, Daniel was able to map sender profiles to specific business functions, ensure proper configuration, and clean up obsolete DNS entries left behind by legacy technologies.

This clarity helped Brighton regain control over its email ecosystem and ensure that all DNS records and sender setups accurately reflected the company’s current operations.

In addition, Daniel found the EasyDMARC platform’s alerting functionality particularly useful, as he was able to get critical early warnings when potential issues arose. He notes, “We’re able to see really quickly if someone’s trying to implement something new that they need our help with.”

With a comprehensive view of their email authentication environment, supported by timely alerts, Brighton could progressively strengthen their DMARC policy from p=none to p=quarantine and finally to p=reject.

“After a while of being on p=quarantine, we finally made the decision to switch to p=reject. That was a really big milestone for us, because we had reached the point where we knew who was sending on our behalf. We knew our emails would be delivered to inboxes and not to spam,” states Daniel.

The Results: Improved Deliverability and Brand Trust

With the EasyDMARC team’s continued guidance, Brighton achieved increased deliverability for its essential customer communications, securing a Klaviyo deliverability score of ‘Excellent,’ which they have maintained for several months now. “If it wasn’t for EasyDMARC”, Daniel concludes, “we would have been pretty lost. That partnership is what really sold it for us.”

As the next step on their DMARC journey, Brighton recently implemented BIMI, an email standard that enables businesses to display their verified brand logo next to authenticated emails in inboxes, giving their customers additional peace of mind. With a strengthened email security foundation and continued support from EasyDMARC, Brighton is well positioned to maintain its excellent deliverability and continue building trust with its customers.

Concluding Quote:

“Honestly, the part of EasyDMARC’s platform I find the most helpful is the fact that access to the platform means I have access to the EasyDMARC team. Every time I have a question, they’re so quick to answer, and they know everything about DMARC.”
