DMARC Adoption in Australia

EasyDMARC conducted research in June 2024 and June 2025 to assess DMARC adoption in Australia:

  • Coverage increased from 9.89% to 26.34%
  • 70% of domains with DMARC use a non-enforcing policy (p=none)
  • Only 16.9% of domains have adopted a strict "reject" policy
  • Just 13.5% of Australian domains are fully protected against phishing

Global DMARC Trends

Analysis of top 1.8 million domains globally shows:
  • Growing adoption from 27.3% in 2023 to 47.6% in 2025
  • Many organizations remain at risk
  • Misconfigured or overly permissive policies (p=none) leave domains vulnerable
  • These issues can disrupt legitimate email flow
